Position Summary:
The leader of the Government Client Relationship Wealth team has accountability in executing overall and business segment client engagement for the Government Market. They will execute against defined client engagement and service strategies to achieve financial objectives including exceeding target client satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth while driving cross-serve strategies across a complete array of Voya solutions that support achieving better outcomes for our customers and their participants. The person will lead a team of experienced Relationship Managers who manage both relationships with Clients and Consultants across a complete array of multi-product solutions, including Retirement Plans, Health Savings Accounts, Managed Accounts, Investment Solutions and other products and tools. The Government Client Relationship leader is also responsible for compliance oversight for all registered representative direct reports. This person will also have responsibilities and oversight of the NAGDA conference and speaking roles on behalf of Voya.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for client and advisor satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth of the Government Market book of business.
  • Drive the Government-market strategy and partner with the organization to create a consistent service model.
  • Provide leadership and negotiation support for client RFP, re-pricing and sales activity.
  • Act as executive sponsor for key client and advisor relationships.
  • Partner closely with internal business partners in Operations, Call Center, Sales, Advisory Services, Compliance, Marketing, and Investment Services on relationship management activities.
  • Provide leadership to the Client Relations team including performance coaching, training and development opportunities to build a strong team to meet the demands of a constantly changing business and operating environment.
  • Partner with Product team in development and implementation of new and enhanced solutions.
  • Partner with intermediary relations team to drive enhanced relationships with key partners.
  • Partner with Health client engagement leadership and others to drive execution of Voya client centric health and wealth focused workplace strategies.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 10-15 yrs. experience in financial services, preferably in the Retirement industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Retirement solutions with health and wealth product knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in growing a high-performance team.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain institutional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of the organization.
  • Sound understanding of the risk environment, compliance requirements, and ability to integrate controls and mitigating processes.
  • Model and lead a strong culture focused on advancing Voya values around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • FINRA 7 or 6 and 26 license required.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$172,300 - $215,380 USD
