The VP of Client Management, Public sector, sits within the leadership team of the Public Sector and Government Markets and Labor and Trust organization of Optum Rx. The role oversees a team of account leaders and strategic account executives that are dedicated to the service of government clients.



You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Annual client strategic planning based on client goals/needs/preferences

  • Management of team of SAEs and other account personnel, plus creating and maintaining cross functional relationships with other supporting departments and leaders

  • Longitudinal re-procurement strategy for key accounts up for renewal, including large state employer, federal, and municipalities

  • Finalist strategy and presentation development for key renewals

  • Maintain client activities including billing, rebate reporting, PGs, etc.

  • Development and deployment of new to market solutions and strategies to support new business growth and renewals

  • Development and deployment of new market strategies to increase ORX market share

Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience in PBM operations, implementations, client management, or sales

  • 7+ years of experience and demonstrated success in client facing roles

  • 7+ years of experience and demonstrated success in coaching, supporting, and leading remote teams



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Pharmacy clinical knowledge or certification

  • Experience in other health care related fields

  • Experience and demonstrated success in achieving outcomes across multiple functional teams in large, matrixed corporate organizations

  • Experience in and understanding of health care finance and economics

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
