Job description

Location: New York, NY, United States

We're looking for a client-facing account leader who brings clarity, momentum, and connection to complex client work.

About the Corporate Affairs Practice

Corporate Affairs has become one of the most strategic functions in healthcare. As organizations navigate scientific innovation, policy change, stakeholder expectations, and heightened scrutiny, they need advisors who can connect business strategy with compelling communications.

The Syneos Health Corporate Affairs Practice partners with emerging biotechs through Fortune 50 healthcare companies to build reputation, shape stakeholder perceptions, and help leaders navigate moments that matter. Our integrated team brings together expertise in corporate communications, executive visibility, scientific storytelling, policy and access, employee engagement, and reputation and risk management.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who is equal parts account leader, project driver, dot-connector, and trusted partner to senior leaders. This person will be the connective tissue across clients, internal teams, and subject matter experts, ensuring the right people are aligned, work moves forward, and clients receive exceptional service.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead and client contact across priority accounts and workstreams.
  • Lead the daily rhythm of client engagements, translating strategy into action, and ensuring deliverables, timelines, and opportunities are managed with consistency and care.
  • Listen closely to client needs and preferences while ensuring teams are prepared and follow-through is clear.
  • Track risks and roadblocks, solve what you can, and escalate when senior input is needed.
  • Spot and flag organic growth opportunities, including new workstreams, scope expansion, executive visibility opportunities, or moments to bring additional capabilities to the client.
What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in account leadership or client service in healthcare, life sciences, corporate affairs, public relations, or integrated communications.
  • Strong client-facing presence and the ability to build trust with clients, senior leaders, teams, vendors, subject matter experts, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to connect the dots across conversations, workstreams, stakeholders, client needs, and business opportunities.
  • Strong writing and content development and presentation skills
  • Confidence holding people accountable while maintaining positive, productive relationships.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
