Job Description

The Vice President of Client Engagement leads the development and execution of strategic plans across assigned markets. This role identifies and prioritizes investments in capabilities, systems, and programs that enhance market competitiveness and align with the company's and clients' growth objectives. The VP provides strategic direction and oversight to the extended account management teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across Commercial and Government Programs at Prime.

Responsibilities
  • Foster a proactive client leadership culture by evaluating and influencing people, processes, and technology impacting client relationships; collaborate with internal teams to meet strategic objectives and fulfill client obligations.
  • Ensure alignment, prioritization, and efficiency in delivering capabilities, growth initiatives, and products; leverage understanding of client priorities and market trends to influence development and deployment of solutions.
  • Lead the Area Vice President Client Engagement and teams, ensuring representation of market-specific needs; develop methodologies, processes, and reporting to support Prime’s value proposition and client retention.
  • Collaborate on establishing KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance; develop reporting cadences for relationship and retention metrics; define objectives aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Identify key relationships with stakeholders like BCBS plans, industry associations, CMS, etc., establishing communication cadences to respond to market threats and ensure compliance and innovation.
  • Support market-based planning, evaluate RFPs, and respond to market feedback to refine products and processes for growth.
  • Manage department budgets, staffing, performance, and development, demonstrating Prime’s leadership standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years in sales, account management, and strategy development within PBM, pharmacy, health plan, or managed care sectors.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and change management.
  • Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Client relationship management and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and financial acumen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to remain stationary, operate office equipment, communicate effectively, and travel up to 50% of the time.
