Cornerstone Search Group is seeking a VP of Clinical Development to lead the late-stage cardiovascular program strategy, with direct influence on portfolio decisions and organizational growth. You will partner with the CMO and CEO to shape the clinical roadmap and ensure rigorous execution across development plans.

Qualifications

Medical degree required; board certification strongly preferred.
10+ years in clinical drug development (Ph 2/3) in pharma/biotech.
Experience leading cardiovascular programs or assets is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of trial design and regulatory strategy.
Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-growth biotech environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Clinical Lead for a high-priority late-stage cardiovascular program with end-to-end accountability for clinical strategy and execution.
Own development plans and protocol design with input for indication selection and target product profile.
Lead the Clinical Strategy Sub-Team in developing and executing an innovative clinical development plan.
Lead clinical decision-making based on emerging data and evolving regulatory expectations.
Act as a senior clinical representative in Executive Committee discussions.
Partner with Development Operations, Biometrics, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure seamless execution.
Present clinical strategy, progress, and risks to leadership and the Board when needed.
Build relationships with investigators and cardiovascular Key Opinion Leaders.
