VP, C&I Commercial Relationship Manager Elmwood Park, NJ
FinTrust Connect has partnered with a growing community bank in New Jersey seeking to hire a VP, Commercial Relationship Manager for the bank's C&I Lending Team. This candidate is responsible for generating C&I business by focusing on developing new business relationships and a strong referral network to help achieve mutually beneficial business goals and strengthen the communities.

Description:
- Manage an existing portfolio, seeking opportunities to generate incremental revenue for the bank and meet customer financial goals.
- Develop new client relationships to generate incremental revenue for the bank.
- Recognize complex client needs and match the bank's capabilities to meet these needs.
- Work with an experienced internal team including portfolio managers and loan center underwriters.
- Use business acumen to structure financial loans (term, covenants, collateral, guarantees, etc.), assess strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers, and price according to risk-rated returns.
- Responsible for completing all requests from BSA, answering KYC, ECS, and RFIs on a timely basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Relationship Manager with formal credit training.
- Five (5) years of experience in banking, preferably in the commercial segment.
- Ability to analyze the credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and make loan decision recommendations.
- Thorough knowledge of the bank's lending policies and regulatory requirements.
