Job summary

Bank Midwest is seeking an Ag/Commercial Lender to join our team as VP, Business Banker. This role could be located in either our full-service New Ulm branch, or our new lending office in Mankato.

The VP will build long-term relationships with business and agricultural clients, provide financial analysis, and oversee underwriting, structuring, and closing of loans while maintaining the existing portfolio. Strong analytical and sales skills, plus customer focus, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Five years Ag and/or Commercial lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term relationships with business and agricultural clients by providing extensive financial analysis and guidance on business practices.
• Develop new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing of commercial and/or agricultural loans.
• Maintain and service existing loan portfolio.

• Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Build long-term relationships with business and agricultural clients by providing extensive financial analysis and guidance on business practices.
  • Develop new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing of commercial and/or agricultural loans.
  • Maintain and service existing loan portfolio.
• Competencies
  • Strong financial analytical skills with ability to provide sound business guidance.
  • Originate, analyze, and service a variety of moderately complex commercial and/or agricultural loans.
  • Must be successful in sales process and ability to sell bank products and services.
  • Strong self-motivation, relationship-building, and customer focus.
