Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Vice President for the asset management team to manage a diverse portfolio of transitional commercial loan assets. The role encompasses qualitative and quantitative loan underwriting, oversight of construction and renovation draws, and collaboration with lenders, servicers, and borrowers across multiple markets.

The VP will provide asset management support, perform lease analyses, review covenants, and prepare updates and memos for credit committees.

Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in commercial real estate including asset management or underwriting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ARGUS experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Financial and quantitative acumen to support senior management decisions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide CRE analysis and debt underwriting across markets and property types.
Monitor performance relative to underwriting, budgets, and covenants.
Coordinate with servicers, borrowers, lenders, and construction consultants as needed.
Review and approve draw requests for renovation and ground-up construction projects.
Monitor performance of transitional/value-add properties including lease analysis and covenant testing.
Prepare quarterly asset updates and credit committee memos.
