Job summary

Coaction seeks a seasoned IT leader to define and execute the technology vision across architecture, Core API engineering, and enterprise AI adoption. You will partner with the CIO and business stakeholders to elevate architecture standards and deliver differentiated value for underwriting, claims, and IT operations.

The role requires guiding AI initiatives from strategy through production, overseeing end-to-end integrations, and ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

10–15 years of IT and business work experience across cloud and AI/ML platforms.
Demonstrated history of execution and fiduciary responsibility.
Experience leading AI, machine learning, or generative AI initiatives from strategy through production deployment and governance.
10+ years of architecture and software engineering in commercial P&C industry.
Experience with core systems replacement and/or modernization (Policy, Billing, Claims).
Highly analytical and structured thinking with creative problem-solving.
Strong customer orientation—views processes as value for underwriting, billing, claims, brokers, MGA’s, Insureds.
Strong project execution and detail orientation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for enterprise architecture decisions.
Develop technology vision and standards with CIO and business stakeholders.
Lead the architecture & Core API engineering teams.
Define AI adoption strategy and roadmap across underwriting, claims, and IT operations.
Facilitate prioritization of architecture and software engineering initiatives.
Conduct research on AI/ML technologies and propose flexible, cost-effective solutions.
Work with IT to prepare alternatives to resolve business problems.
Share knowledge of technology opportunities and risks to build competitive advantage.
Oversee end-to-end system integrations.
Liaise with vendors to select products that meet goals.
Collaborate with business partners on all technology solution needs.
Create and document patterns and guiding principles for long-term vision.
Communicate architecture decisions to project teams and staff.
Establish governance and responsible-AI standards for security, compliance, and model risk.
