Job summary

J.P. Morgan Payments is seeking a Vice President Applied AI/ML Scientist to advance AI capabilities across our payment solutions. You will design, research, and deploy scalable models and data pipelines to improve fraud detection, processing efficiency, and customer experience.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will translate complex business problems into analytical plans, work with LangChain and LLMs, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline with >=6 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Shell Scripting, Jupyter notebook/Lab, SQL, PySpark, and AWS.
• Proficient in Python with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (NumPy, Pandas).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, Technology and cross-functional teams to solve data-driven problems in payments.
• Design, develop, and deploy agentic systems using LLMs and AI solutions aligned with business goals.
• Partner with Risk and Compliance to document models, track performance, and ensure regulatory standards.
• Translate model outcomes into business impact metrics and communicate to senior management.
