Job summary

Aimlroles in New York, NY is seeking a Vice President, AI / Machine Learning Engineer to lead applied AI initiatives within the AI Hub. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building production-grade AI-powered tools and platforms that scale for engineers to design, test, and operate software.

You will drive model development, evaluation, and deployment, mentor engineers, and partner with stakeholders to measure impact on developer workflows and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-9 years of software development experience; securities/financial services is a plus.
• Advanced experience in applied AI/ML, model development, and deploying production solutions (8+ years).
• Hands-on technical lead capable of guiding design, implementation, and delivery decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of applied AI solutions and provide hands-on technical leadership for ML/AI products.
• Apply expertise in Applied AI, LLMs, fine-tuning, model evaluation, and creation of fit-for-purpose models, copilots, and agents for engineering use cases.
• Conduct R&D, prototyping, and experimentation to evaluate model/tooling approaches and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to understand priorities, workflows, and success measures that demonstrate impact.
• Apply AI to improve the software development lifecycle and support builders with secure, scalable, production-ready capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices across architecture, reliability, and responsible AI adoption.
