Growing fintech bank looking to bring on board a “VP, AML Investigations – Crypto & Digital Assets” to join their team. This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring three days per week in-office.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee AML/CFT investigations focused on digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based transactions.
• Analyze financial data and transaction patterns** to detect suspicious activity and assess risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Design and implement AML/CFT policies and procedures specifically tailored to the digital asset environment.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations of suspicious activities, including documentation reviews, customer and employee interviews, and coordination with law enforcement when necessary.
• Prepare clear, detailed investigation reports outlining findings, risk assessments, and recommended actions for internal leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor and interpret updates in AML/CFT regulations, ensuring ongoing compliance with international and jurisdiction-specific laws and standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, legal, and risk teams to align strategies and effectively mitigate financial crime risks.
• Deliver AML/CFT training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and best practices in the context of digital assets.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with regulators, law enforcement, and external compliance partners to support reporting and enforcement efforts.
• Identify gaps & recommend improvements to strengthen AML/CFT frameworks based on investigations and regulatory updates
