Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a Vice President, Alternatives Fund Controller to join our team, focusing on evergreen private credit strategies. This role oversees financial accounting, reporting, and the control framework for a complex set of hybrid, open-ended funds investing across public and private credit markets.

The position offers visibility across Portfolio Management, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Operations, with opportunities to influence both ongoing fund oversight and new product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred; Big 4 or equivalent public accounting background valued.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and investment company accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, reporting, and control for complex evergreen private credit funds.
• Coordinate with fund administrators on NAV production, valuations, and investor allocations.
• Own the fund accounting and reporting framework ensuring alignment with governing documents and policies.
• Review financial outputs, capital accounts, investor reporting, and audited statements.
• Manage the fund close cycle and oversee accounting for illiquid investments and hybrid structures.
• Interface with corporate finance, treasury, and firm-wide reporting to align fund and firm performance.
