IDC is seeking a Research Vice President, AI Security and Trust to shape IDC's global viewpoint on securing AI models, data, agents, applications, and infrastructure.

You will lead a research agenda across AI runtime security, governance, data security, agentic identity, and AI-enabled SOC, engaging with senior executives and industry stakeholders. This role offers broad visibility, partnership opportunities, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 12–15+ years of experience in technology research, advisory, consulting, product strategy, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, or related markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead IDC's research agenda for AI security and trust across runtime security, governance, data security, and AI infrastructure.
• Shape IDC's market taxonomy and priorities for AI security across cybersecurity, AI, cloud, data, and software.
• Publish differentiated research including market analysis, forecasts, and executive advisory content.
• Conduct market sizing, forecasting, and trend analysis for emerging AI security segments.
• Engage with vendor executives, enterprise buyers, investors, and media to assess market requirements.
• Represent IDC externally through presentations, webinars, and events.
• Mentor analysts and grow syndicated subscriptions and consulting opportunities.
