Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a leader to design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and ML solutions across the enterprise. You will oversee data science teams, govern models, and guide the organization’s AI strategy to deliver client value and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, collaboration with IT and business stakeholders, and adoption of cutting‑edge ML methodologies to enable data‑driven decision‑making at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Data Science, Statistics, CS, Applied Math, Engineering, Economics or related quantitative field preferred.
• Expertise in ML, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques (regression, time series, NLP, ensembles, neural networks).
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud‑based AI/ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Databricks).
• Knowledge of ML Ops, model governance, and lifecycle management best practices.
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical frameworks and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills for non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for ML and modeling initiatives and roadmaps.
• Oversee design, development, and validation of statistical and ML models.
• Establish and maintain model governance, validation, and monitoring.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data science team.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and analytics stakeholders to drive data-driven outcomes.
• Stay at the forefront of AI/ML technologies and promote best practices.
