Citigroup Inc. seeks a Lead Agentic AI Engineer at the Vice President level to architect and deliver production-grade agentic AI systems for enterprise-scale platforms. You will own end-to-end design, development, and deployment of multi-agent ecosystems that integrate LLMs, RAG, and full-stack components.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 2+ years specifically in Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, Agentic workflows).
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering complex software or AI solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of custom AI platform components using Python, Java (Spring Boot), and React.
• Code and optimize multi-tenant intelligent agents utilizing modular orchestration patterns and frameworks like ADK/LangChain.
• Develop clean, decoupled integration layers and enforce MCP-based secure data access patterns.
• Design and implement advanced data retrieval with RAG architectures, graph & vector DB integrations, and robust prompt engineering.
• Collaborate with SMEs and UI teams to ensure backend agentic logic aligns with enterprise APIs.
