Job summary

Crowley is seeking an Assistant Engineer – SIU for Ocean Class vessels based at Lake Charles Homeport. The role requires current STCW endorsements, a valid TWIC, and a U.S. passport for international travel.

Candidates should have at least one year of engineering experience, proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook, and be prepared to work flexible sailing schedules under contract terms.

Qualifications

• Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License.
• Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider).
• TWIC.
• Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into other countries.
• CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering watch and operations aboard ocean-class vessels.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and report on engine room systems.
• Coordinate with SIU crew for safe vessel operations.
