Job summary

The Outreach Team in Memphis is hiring canvassers to engage the public, promote turnout, and help register voters for progressive campaigns. Positions offer $22–$24 per hour with bonuses, overtime pay, paid training, sick pay, and referral bonuses. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with work in busy public spaces across Memphis.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete, valid voter registration forms.
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and health guidelines.
• Manage a small group of canvassers and debrief at day end.
• Ensure canvassers have materials needed to be safe and successful.
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.

Hiring Immediately - $22-$24/hr + bonuses

Full-time & Part-time

This year, with key issues and human rights on the line, it is extremely important that people uplift their voices at the ballot box to vote for the change that they want to see in their communities. Every eligible voter deserves the chance to influence their community and shape the electorate. We’ll engage with potential voters in busy public places within their communities to help them register to vote. Our goal is to register and mobilize new voters in Memphis to ensure that all voices are being heard.

Get paid well! Canvass positions start at $20/hour. Leadership positions start at $21/hour. We offer overtime pay, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Locations: Memphis

We are hiring immediately; all positions run through September with possibilities for advancement afterwards.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete, and valid voter registration forms
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be safe and successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
