Job summary

North Shore Strategies in Chicago, IL seeks Political Petitioners for a temporary, non-exempt role to engage voters face-to-face and promote Democratic causes. Start: 07/28/2026; End: 10/15/2026.

Shifts are 4–5 hours each, with a flexible schedule across Chicago, IL. As a Political Petitioner, you will deliver campaign messages, collect petition signatures when needed, and help build support for progressive issues while representing the organization professionally in all public interactions.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered voter in Illinois.
• Able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, goal-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to canvass outdoors for extended periods in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing.
• Deliver persuasive and accurate messaging about candidates and ballot initiatives.
• Record daily data and submit detailed reports to the Organizing Director.
• Consistently meet or exceed outreach and engagement goals.
• Represent North Shore Strategies with professionalism and integrity in all public interactions.
• Attend required trainings and team meetings to stay aligned with campaign strategy and talking points.
• Foster positive connections with voters to promote long-term community trust and campaign visibility.
