Qualifications

• Prior experience operating CNC saws or automated saw lines.
• Experience with Voortman equipment is a strong plus.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers) and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently while communicating with supervision and coworkers.
• Machine-operation experience preferred.
• Ability to work second shift and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Voortman CNC saw equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, position, and secure structural steel beams and other material for processing.
• Review CNC programs, shop drawings, and production specifications.
• Set up the saw and verify blade selection, machine settings, material dimensions, and program requirements.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain production and quality.
• Inspect finished material for correct length, cuts, dimensions, and overall quality.
• Identify machine problems and notify supervision when necessary.
• Replace saw blades as required.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and PPE requirements.
• Communicate production status, equipment issues, and material concerns to the supervisor.
• Meet established production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
