Qualifications

• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use tape measures, calipers and inspection tools.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate Voortman CNC saw equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, position, and secure structural beams for processing.
• Review CNC programs, shop drawings, and production specs.
• Set up the saw, verify blade selection and machine settings.
• Monitor operation and adjust to maintain quality and production.
• Inspect finished material for correct length and accuracy.
• Identify issues and notify supervision as needed.
• Replace saw blades as required and perform basic maintenance.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts or other handling equipment as allowed.
• Maintain accurate production records and keep area safe.
