Job summary

Scott Volvo is seeking a Certified Technician to join our team. We welcome Senior or Master Technicians and will train; Volvo experience is a plus but not required.

As part of the Scott Family of Dealerships, you will diagnose, repair, and service a range of vehicle systems, work with diagnostic tools, and provide quality customer service. We offer excellent pay, training, and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Must have state inspection and emissions license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology and service procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor on additional repairs needed and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
