Job summary

The Scott Family of Dealerships in Allentown, PA is seeking a Certified Technician to join our service team as a Senior or Master technician. Volvo experience is helpful but not required—we will train and offer excellent pay and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, testing components with diagnostic tools, diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, and communicating with the service advisor on additional needs while ensuring warranty procedures meet manufacturer

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• Must have state inspection and emissions license
• ASE Certification required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude and willingness to learn
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C)
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional needed services and provide time estimates
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
