Job description

Managing Editor to perform the following activities for our 3-month social media calendar project:

• Review all social media content prior to publishing to ensure appropriateness for the target audience.
• Collaborate with videographers, copywriters, illustrators, and other content creators to make necessary adjustments.
• Provide feedback to ensure social media and blog content effectively tell the story of the Tutoria brand.
• Guide social media content creation to align with our 3-month social media calendar.

Tutoria welcomes all student volunteers to apply. Please note, we cannot accept applicants interested in fulfilling 24-month STEM OPT requirements, as this is a volunteer opportunity. Candidates will need to submit evidence from their institution verifying their OPT status.

Description

Tutoria connects people in need with volunteer tutors via our online platform. Volunteers and clients sign up at tutoria.io, select their interests (English tutoring, US Citizenship, or legal aid), and availability. They then connect via direct message.

Why Tutoria? There is a high demand from immigrants for education and legal services worldwide. Many volunteers are willing to teach these classes, but connecting immigrants and volunteers is done manually by non-profit staff, limiting capacity. As a volunteer, you will create social impact by helping meet this need and benefit personally by working with passionate professionals, including Tutoria’s leadership.
