A local healthcare provider is seeking Volunteer Ward Support for patients at the Cumberland Infirmary. Volunteers help provide companionship, assist with mealtimes, and engage patients in activities to enhance their hospital experience. Candidates must be 18 or older and available for morning or afternoon shifts on Mondays or Fridays.

We are looking for Volunteers to join our team as Ward Support volunteers on Maple A at the Cumberland Infirmary.
Ward volunteers provide companionship and support to patients, some of whom may be in hospital for a long period of time. As a ward volunteer you will help to provide a variety of activities for patients such as playing board games, reading or general conversation. Volunteers also assist with the mealtimes, including preparing the patient for their meal, distributing the meals and sitting with a patient to help with cutting food, opening cartons and making the meal a social occasion. Some patients require extra help and as a volunteer you can assist with feeding patients.
Times available: Monday 1 x person Morning or Afternoon; Friday 1 x person Morning or Afternoon
You must be 18 years old or over to volunteer on a ward and live within the local Cumberland.
