An established nonprofit organization is seeking passionate individuals to empower young adults through trade skills and life mastery. This innovative program focuses on community development by teaching participants the skills needed to build accessory dwelling units, which will help address homelessness in the area. Join a dedicated team that is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and the local community. The role involves hands-on training, mentorship, and fostering a supportive environment for personal and professional growth. If you are enthusiastic about community service and skilled trades, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Fortitude is a San Francisco Bay Area-based nonprofit formed to assist young adults in developing a healthy sense of self as they design a path to a successful trades career. We seek to fortify the trades workforce and support the needs of our local community through multi-week on-site programs. Fortitude is the place for young adults to learn more than trade skills; it is a place where they can learn life mastery skills that will guide them to a more fulfilling life and meaningful career. Our current team includes the Founder, an administrative associate, and a nonprofit operations consultant. Taking advantage of recent funding, strategic plans are underway to expand the team and program in 2025.

Fortitude is a comprehensive youth and community development program that addresses several core community issues: job readiness, employment, mental health challenges, diminishing crime and poverty, and individual leadership development. It addresses the status of unemployed youth who have no clear path to a productive future to support their lives, families, and contribute to their communities.
Fortitude is a program in service to the community, in which young people learn the skills to build a career in the construction field and have the opportunity to develop those skills by building "ADUs" (accessory dwelling units or tiny houses). The ADUs will be offered to municipalities (in accordance with established regulations) to be used as housing for those experiencing homelessness and other low-income people, often serving beneficiaries from the types of communities where the participants themselves have grown up.
