Job summary

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department seeks an experienced program analyst to support the volunteer system. Under supervision, the role coordinates recruitment, onboarding, communications, training coordination, and program analysis across the twelve affiliated Volunteer Fire Departments.

Responsibilities include outreach, development of informational materials, coordination with the Public Information Office, and producing planning and performance reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional work experience in the functional area.
• Driver's License is required.
• Background checks, credit checks, sanctions screening, and driving record checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program management and analysis for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department's volunteer system.
• Develop outreach strategies to recruit volunteers and engage applicants.
• Coordinate volunteer onboarding, including background checks, fingerprinting, and records management.
• Create and share informational materials, recruitment campaigns, and public communications.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
