Overview

Seeking Volunteer Professionals to Assist Artists & Arts Organizations

Position: Volunteer Professional (unpaid)

Location: Remote/Tennessee (Statewide)

Commitment: Referral list: Case-by-Case Basis (Find opportunities to assist clients through a weekly referral list emailed to you)

Job Summary

We are looking for volunteer professionals who are interested in supporting income-qualified artists and nonprofit arts organizations by taking on individual art-related, pro bono professional cases from our referral list. Volunteers have the flexibility to select matters that align with their skills and availability, assisting clients with issues such as accounting, marketing & communications, human resources, strategic planning, public relations, business structuring, and other art-related matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and select pro bono professional cases to assist income-qualified artists and nonprofit arts organizations in arts-related matters
• Advice on specific issues, including accounting and bookkeeping, business management/planning, IT, financial planning, communications and development/fundraising
• Provide strategic business insights to help clients build and grow sustainable careers
• Support clients with business structure decisions, management, website content and more

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business, finance, marketing, IT, or other professional fields
• Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to non-specialists
• Commitment to helping artists achieve their professional goals
