UNITE-LA is currently recruiting mentors for its My Pathway to Health program.
My Pathway to Health is a paid, work-based learning opportunity connecting youth aged 18-24 to careers in allied health.
Mentors will be paired with participants for 1:1 zoom breakout sessions, lasting up to one hour. Sessions are scheduled twice over a 5-week period (June 24th - July 24th) based on availability, with a third session afterward.
No healthcare experience is required for mentors.
You can support by providing guidance on resumes and career development.
UNITE-LA is a School-to-Career (STC) partnership facilitating initiatives across the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), and the City of Los Angeles. We create diverse, enriching programs that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, fostering a seamless transition from school to career.
Employers and professional organizations play a vital role in UNITE-LA and School-to-Career. They support through in-class speaking, workplace tours, job shadowing, mentoring, internships, scholarships, and career fairs, contributing significantly to our program's success.
