Job Description:

The Volunteer Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a NCAA Division III men's lacrosse program. This position supports the development of student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally while promoting the mission and values of the institution. This is an unpaid volunteer position that provides valuable collegiate coaching experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions.
• Provide position-specific instruction and skill development.
• Support game-day preparation, including scouting, film analysis, and opponent breakdown.
• Assist with practice planning, equipment setup, and field preparation.
• Travel with the team to away contests as assigned.
• Help identify and evaluate prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division III and institutional recruiting guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with current student-athletes and foster a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Assist with video editing, statistical analysis, and recruiting databases.
• Support program operations, including camps, clinics, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

The Volunteer Assistant Coach is expected to understand and comply with all NCAA Division III, conference, and institutional rules and regulations and to uphold the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategy, and NCAA Division III rules.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required during the competitive season.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive student-athlete experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Collegiate playing or coaching experience in men's lacrosse preferred.
