Improve Disaster Relief/Recovery in Morocco (remote)

We are seeking French and/or Arabic speaking volunteers to:

1. Identify Morocco-based NGOs that respond to disasters on the local/national level. Find at least 5-10 NGOs per region. Note: Not international NGOs. We will invite these NGOs to join www.smartresponse.org/Morocco.
2. Engage the Moroccan diaspora community and others, both inside Morocco and globally, who are interested in supporting local NGOs directly.
3. Build awareness, share content, and grow an audience on a Morocco-specific Facebook Page: Facebook Page. Share information about the organizations listed on the SmartResponse Morocco page.

Disaster Accountability Project (DAP) aims to save lives and reduce suffering by enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and fairness of disaster preparedness, response, relief, and recovery through oversight, transparency, advocacy, and public education.

Description

DAP is a leading nonprofit organization providing independent, long-term oversight of disaster management systems. We foster a dedicated community to promote policy research, advocacy, transparency, and public participation in oversight, community organizing, and disaster-related discussions.

Citizen oversight is crucial to ensure resources are used effectively, communities are engaged and resilient, and lessons learned are implemented to prevent repeated mistakes. Before DAP's creation, there was no dedicated, independent oversight of agencies responsible for these vital, life-saving functions.
