Join to apply for the Volunteer: Hotline Volunteer role at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue.

Founded over 20 years ago, CWR is federally licensed to care for wildlife and also accepts domestic animals in need of sanctuary or medical care. Over the years, we've helped countless chickens, ducks, geese, reptiles, and farm animals including an emu. Annually, we admit over 7,000 patients to our care.

If you love CWR's mission of Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Release/Adopt but don't live nearby, this position is for you! You can help orphaned and injured animals from anywhere, using just a computer and internet connection. Communication with the public is via text message, so no need to talk on the phone! Our Hotline Volunteers are often the first point of contact, helping coordinate referrals, providing wildlife advice, and arranging transport to CWR.

Requirements include basic knowledge of Facebook, Messenger, and Teams for internal and public communication. The hotline operates 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM (East Coast time). Please note, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue does not offer volunteer hours for Court Appointed Community Service.
