Volunteer: Host a Foreign Exchange Student!

ETC provides inbound program opportunities for high school students worldwide to study in American high schools and live with American families. Our outbound program offers students the chance to study and live abroad. Education Travel & Culture is a personalized organization committed to supporting students and host families through a network of local coordinators and dedicated staff.

We are seeking host families in Cumberland County, NC, to host exchange students arriving in August 2024. Students come from countries including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Vietnam, Brazil, Turkey, Paraguay, and more.

The requirements to become a volunteer host family are simple:

• Provide 3 meals a day
• Transportation to/from school
• A bedroom to sleep and study in (students can share a room with same gender and similar age)
• Love and support

Families of all types make great host families! We've had single moms, busy families, same-sex couples, empty nesters, and more. Can't commit to a full year or semester? Consider becoming a "Welcome Family" and host for 4-8 weeks to help the student get started in the U.S.!
