Dev Launchers is a nonprofit organization focused on helping people from diverse communities get involved in the tech industry!

Importance of The Role

Dev Launcher’s IdeaSpace project is seeking a UX Designer to contribute to our human-centered design approach. You will collaborate with a diverse product team of 8 members worldwide to optimize strategies through insight-driven enhancements.

About The Project

IdeaSpace aims to build a platform that brings together people from diverse backgrounds to collaboratively design software solutions. It provides a space for individuals to develop their ideas into working projects with input from others.

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative design solutions and product experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to gather requirements, create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
  • Participate in workshops and collaboration sessions.
  • Make strategic decisions and implement best practice solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Universal Design Team responsible for our Design System.
  • Advocate for human-centered design principles within the organization.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Product team to address feedback and updates.

Who You Are
Required skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in UX Design.
  • Experience working on projects demonstrating expertise in user interface, user experience, and interaction design.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, more than a Junior but less than a Senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of human-centered design principles.
  • Ability to make low- to mid-level UX architecture and design decisions independently.
  • Experience designing user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes in Figma.
  • Comfortable with essential design tools.
  • Experience designing for responsive environments is preferred.
  • An inspiring portfolio or at least one sample of your work.
