Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated teacher to share the gospel within public school classrooms using the LifeWise curriculum. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

The role requires ongoing LifeWise training, classroom management, and building relationships with students, staff, and volunteers, while upholding the organization’s faith-based values.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly.
• Maintain records: attendance, class rosters, health notes, and permissions.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and purchase supplies as needed.
• Communicate with school personnel and community volunteers; share updates and photos.
