Job summary

L.A. Works in Los Angeles is seeking a VISTA Digital Communications Fellow to strengthen external communications to recruit and engage volunteers.

You will assess current social media, websites, and newsletters, analyze engagement data, and develop baseline metrics and dashboards to guide outreach. You will create sustainable communication workflows, calendars, templates, and audience-segmentation processes.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to analyze engagement data and extract insights.
• Experience in non-profit communications or volunteer mobilization.

Responsibilities

• Assess and strengthen external communications systems to support volunteer recruitment and community engagement.
• Analyze social media, website, newsletters, and engagement data; establish baseline metrics.
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and training documentation for ongoing use.
• Build sustainable processes such as calendars, workflows, audience segmentation, and content organization.
• Track volunteer participation and community impact for major service days; participate in Volunteer Corps activities.
