Volunteer: Classroom Volunteer - K-5 students in Schenectady City Schools! Teach them to save and earn money!

Join us as a Classroom Volunteer at Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York, Inc. to make a difference in the lives of K-5 students in Schenectady City Schools. Help teach essential skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship through engaging, hands-on activities.

About Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success. We operate across over 100 local areas nationwide and focus on providing programs that inspire and educate students about business, economics, and personal finance.

Volunteer Role

As a volunteer, you will:

  1. Present our educational programs in local schools.
  2. Use provided materials and lesson plans to guide your sessions.
  3. Coordinate with teachers to schedule lessons, typically 5 sessions of 30-45 minutes each.

This is a flexible, rewarding opportunity that requires a modest time commitment. JA provides all necessary materials and training, and a teacher will always be present to assist.
