Mission Statement
To financially support non-traditional schools, while adding needed services, resources and educational experiences so students are better equipped to succeed in continuing education and future employment.
Description
The ASHS Legacy Foundation began in 2020 and has been developing its operating structure since then. We have a Board of Directors consisting of 15 members to lead the governance of the organization. We are evolving our fundraising activities so that we can offer grants to public non-traditional/alternative schools or programs in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Schools that apply for a foundation grant will tell us what their priority needs are and why a grant will make an educational difference for the students. Our goal is to improve the educational services and have the school district continue the services at the end of the grant. Students will gain better opportunities to continue their education and/or compete for better employment positions.
