Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a teacher for grades 6-12 who can demonstrate Bible knowledge and strong teaching ability. The role requires active church involvement and a caring, communicative demeanor aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities include completing teacher certification within 30 days, participating in annual LifeWise Summit, maintaining attendance and class rosters, using LifeWise curriculum, and building relationships with students and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and prior to teaching in the LifeWise classroom.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Maintain records: attendance, class rosters, health concerns and permissions.
• Maintain the classroom: organized, age-appropriate, and conducive to learning.
• Communicate: act as LifeWise ambassador, engage with volunteers, and stay in dialogue with school personnel.
