Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, able to teach LifeWise classes as needed.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement the provided LifeWise curriculum, and maintain a safe, orderly classroom while taking attendance and coordinating with the teacher and

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine alignment.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
