Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a substitute teacher to demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities in Urbana, Ohio. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, capable of teaching LifeWise students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, delivering LifeWise lessons, applying provided curriculum, maintaining classroom safety and organization, and adhering to LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
