Job description

Sign up with Be A Mentor to be a Virtual Academic Mentor to a struggling youth.

Many kids are struggling right now with the Pandemic, remote learning, and all the normal difficulties of youth.

We need your special skills and perspective to show a young person what opportunities they have and give them the confidence to work towards big goals.

An Academic Mentor is a trusted caring adult that spends at least one hour per week with their mentee using Be A Mentor’s Virtual Mentoring Platform.

As a Mentor, you will focus on goal setting, homework help, and career exploration. While there may be a focus on homework help in the meetings, these sessions are more than just tutoring. You and your Mentee will form a personal relationship to build resilience, social skills, and confidence.
