Job summary

Bauman Landscape and Construction | Bauman Redi-Mix in Northern California is seeking a Concrete Batch Person to support our volumetric fleet. This hands-on role requires batching concrete, coordinating with dispatch, and ensuring on-time deliveries across projects.

You will plan materials, monitor inventory, perform routine plant checks, and maintain batching records. The position offers full-time hours, health benefits, 401(k), and growth opportunities with a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Experience batching concrete, operating a concrete plant, or working in ready-mix production.
• Strong understanding of concrete mix designs, aggregates, cement, and admixtures.
• Attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent mixes.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify basic equipment or maintenance issues.
• Ability to work safely around trucks, loaders, heavy equipment, and moving machinery.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for the upcoming weeks and plan materials accordingly.
• Plan batching of trucks and drivers for following day orders with dispatch.
• Check with drivers during batching to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, supervisors, and field personnel to keep orders moving.
• Monitor cement, aggregate, admixture, and other material inventories.
• Perform routine plant inspections and identify maintenance or equipment issues.
• Maintain production, material, and batching records.
