Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing seeks a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer to set up and operate Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to produce high-precision components in Wisconsin. You will cut carbide and PCD, monitor performance, and develop CNC programs from engineering drawings.

Responsibilities include maintaining tight tolerances, performing routine machine maintenance, and reporting issues for timely fixes. Candidate should have 1+ years with FANUC/Sodick and solid shop skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing environment (1+ years), specifically with FANUC/Sodick.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
