Job summary

The Beaver Dam Recreation Department seeks a Volleyball Site Supervisor for our Adult Co-Ed League. This seasonal role oversees program operations and participant conduct during games at Wayland Academy, without officiating.

Work is about 4 hours each Monday from mid-October through January, 5:45–8:45pm or 9:45pm depending on schedule. Compensation is $18 per hour; contact Katy Kraemer at [e-mail] or 920-887-4639, ext. 707.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Knowledge of volleyball.
• Ability to supervise participants and handle disciplinary situations.
• Dependable and courteous with the public.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow department policies.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in pre-season staff orientation/training meeting.
• Assist participants with setup and takedown of equipment as needed.
• Prepare each court with the appropriate paperwork.
• Verify player eligibility and track player changes.
• Know, understand and interpret the department’s volleyball rules and guidelines.
• Enforce the rules, give warnings or eject any participant who does not abide by conduct expectations.
• Monitor all activity in the gym and stands.
• Pick up debris and lost & found items before leaving.
• Ensure the building is secured prior to leaving.
• Ensure participants vacate the building in a timely manner.
• Return keys, equipment and supplies at season end.
• Follow all department policies and procedures.

The Beaver Dam Recreation Department is looking for a Volleyball Site Supervisor for our Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League. League play is at Wayland Academy. The Volleyball Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising the program and participant behavior. This position does not officiate the games.

This is a seasonal position working approximately 4 hours every Monday beginning mid-October through January. Hours are 5:45-8:45pm or 9:45pm, depending on game schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Attend and participate in pre-season staff orientation/training meeting.
