Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a passionate Volleyball Head C-team and Varsity Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 season at Chelan High School. This role requires prior experience in coaching or playing volleyball and the ability to mentor student-athletes while promoting educational values. The position offers a salary range of $4,452 - $5,368 based on documented experience.

Qualified candidates will assist with program organization, develop relationships with athletes, and help drive the school's vision and mission.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching and/or playing experience in volleyball.
• Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with staff.
• Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
• FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.

Salary range is $4,452 - $5,368 based on prior, documented, school district experience in the same sport.

Overview of Coaching Staff Expectations

• Responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
• Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department.
