Volleyball Coach (Part time)

Principal Responsibilities:

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is seeking a part time volleyball coach for teams, classes/clinics as well as possible other programming under the athletics umbrella. This position works with members and non-members and is focused on delivering high quality volleyball instruction.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Deliver high quality individual as well as team-based instruction.
• Work with the head of volleyball and run things independently; opportunities as head coach or assistant coach depending on program and enrollment.
• Commit to season schedule and communicate absences.
• Uphold and follow health and safety regulations.
• Cooperate with and report to administration with any issues.
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Specialized Skills:

• Volleyball coaching experience required.
• Experience coaching ages 13-18; experience coaching younger ages is a bonus.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (on-site training provided as needed).
• Strong teamwork, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Keep gymnasium/outdoor spaces safe and clean.
• Work with other coaches/departments to share space/equipment.
• Help cross promote all current as well as upcoming health and wellness programs that the JCC offers.

Physical Demands:

• Programs performed both indoors and outdoors when applicable.
• Requires long periods of standing and activity.

Salary:

Under $25,000
