Job summary

Stuart Country Day School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches for Middle School and Varsity Volleyball to lead and develop student-athletes during the Fall 2026 season.

The Middle School Coach will introduce players to fundamentals in a fun, encouraging environment, while the Varsity Coach will focus on player development, competitive excellence, teamwork, and season-long preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
• Experience working with middle school and/or high school athletes is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging, well-organized practices that develop individual skills and team concepts.
• Teach volleyball fundamentals including serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defensive positioning, and game strategy.
• Prepare athletes for practices, matches, and postseason competition.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment where athletes feel encouraged to grow.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership on and off the court.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team activities while maintaining a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, school administration, and the athletic department.
• Uphold Stuart Country Day School's values and represent the program with professionalism and integrity.
