Utica Community Schools is seeking an 8th Grade Volleyball Coach at Davis Junior High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The coach will operate the volleyball program in accordance with district and MHSAA rules and policies, coordinating in-season and off-season activities to develop players.

Qualifications include prior coaching experience and CPR, concussion certification and AED training. A Michigan Teacher’s Certificate is preferred.

Volleyball Coach – 8 th Grade

DESCRIPTION

Utica Community Schools is seeking a 8 th Grade Volleyball Coach at Daivs Junior High School. The 8 th Grade Volleyball Coach is responsible for the operation of the program while remaining in compliance with Board of Education, district, building and MHSAA rules and policies. The district supports promotion of internal candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate the athletic program in accordance with Board of Education, district, building and MHSAA policies.
• Coordinate in-season and off-season team activities including practices, player development, off-season workout and camps.
• Support the physical, emotional and academic development of student athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES

• Prior coaching experience required.

• Possess strong character and the ability to build relationships with team members and parents.
