Job summary

Are you interested in assisting researchers in training the next generation of audio machine-learning models? This research aims to improve the models' understanding of human speech and requests, making them more friendly and compassionate.

Requirements:

1. Native fluency in English (North American Accent)
2. Ability to express a wide range of emotions through voice
3. Ability to record in a quiet environment without background noise
4. Access to an at-home recording studio
5. Experience with any voice-related work (e.g., voiceover acting, podcasting, audio narration)
6. Access to a high-fidelity microphone for recordings

Nice to Haves:

1. Background in on-screen or on-stage acting, classical voice training, or vocal music
2. Access to an audio interface device

Responsibilities:

1. Record short conversations that convey different emotions, accents, and audio modulations
2. Review and provide feedback on recordings made by other users
3. Review and edit scripts
4. Ensure high-quality audio by maintaining clear, professional recordings
5. Save files to Audacity and maintain organized file management

Payment: Up to $40 USD per hour for voice recording work. Candidates in Illinois, Texas, and Washington are not eligible.

This is a 1099 contract opportunity on the Outlier.ai platform. It is a freelance role; internships, sponsorships, or employment are not offered.
